One of the greatest challenges for human beings is to change long standing ways of behaving and interacting with others; this has a huge impact on our work as couple's therapists.  How often do we experience couples doing wonderful work in the office and then discover they cannot do it at home?  I know this has happened to me many times and is often so discouraging to both me and the couple!

In this day long workshop, we will discover how enacting, or trying out the change in the office - actually practicing the change of behavior and processing what it feels like and what resources each member of the couple can use -  greatly increases the chance that the couple can sustain the change at home.  Practicing enactments also requires couples to get out of the traditional therapy chairs and move around which can enliven the work and make it more like real life.  And it is so much fun!
