Working with couples who have experienced the betrayal of infidelity can be the most challenging form of therapy.

How do we intervene after an affair if a couple wants to stay together but is struggling with trust, forgiveness, and an unclear vision of the future of their relationship? We will discuss the three phases of erotic recovery and review how to create a new monogamy agreement that focuses on authentic sexual intervention and dialogue, and not just abstinence or sensory practices.  This workshop will train clinicians in accurate and effective treatment for affair recovery. Dr Nelson will guide participants through a clearly identified process with three phases of erotic recovery that will help to create a new vision for couples who choose to stay together after infidelity.

Dr Tammy Nelson is a sex and relationship expert, an international speaker, and author of several books including, “Getting the Sex You Want; Shed Your Inhibitions and Reach New Heights of Passion Together”  and “The New Monogamy; Redefining Your Relationship After Infidelity.” She is a Board Certified Sexologist, an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, and a Certified Imago Relationship therapist.  She has been a featured expert in Glamour Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Redbook, MSNBC, Healthy Life Magazine, Shape, Men’s Health, Men’s Health UK, Woman’s Day, Women’s Health, Twist Magazine, New York Times, Washington Post and a source in Time Magazine.
