How often have you experienced couples doing wonderful work in the office  and then not being able to sustain it when they leave?

Maya Kollman says, “I know that has happened to me many times and is often so discouraging for the couple and the therapist.  In this day long workshop, I will show how enacting the change in the office, actually practicing the change of behavior and processing what it feels like and what resources each member of the couple can use, greatly increases the chance that the couple can sustain the change at home.”

This all-day workshop will help you:

  1. Understand the environment that inhibits change and the environment that enhances change and learn how to create the supportive change environment.
  2. Know how to help couples try out new behaviors in the office to see if they are effective.
  3. Find ways other than just sitting and talking that enhances the connection between a couple.

In addition, doing this work requires couples to get out of the traditional therapy chairs and move around which can enliven the work and make it more like real life, and much more fun.  And so like the work, this training will also incorporate some fun!
